Hey Overcast fans. Matt here to clarify a few things. I've been wanting to post about the status of the show for some time now but wanted to wait until I knew for sure what was going to happen. Sorry that it took us so long to give you an official update.
So, to clarify, we have decided to stop the show due to personal reasons. More specifically, I myself do not have the time or energy to spend playing RIFT anymore. Obviously we can't build you a quality show without spending a good amount of time playing the game itself. Real life has given me a swift boot in the rear and since then my focus has to shift onto other real life matters. Also, our decision to discontinue Overcast was in no way affected by any of the reactions to episode 25.
Thank you so much for your support of the show. We loved doing it for everyone and want to be able to continue it in the future. The show is however currently discontinued indefinitely. We may return for Storm Legion but if we don't, we want to wish everyone the best of luck and lots of fun with the expansion.

Best of luck to you guys, it's sad to see you go...it's projects like this that help get the game notoriety and light shed on it, i hate to say it but i knew from the beginning this wouldn't last. On another note though thanks for the hours of entertainment and good luck with your endeavors.

Are you guys still playing Rift at all? I would love to get in a raid with you guys or your favorite thing CONQUEST! But, really.. I am sad to see the show end. It kept me going in my work day, and I always looked forward to it.
ReplyDeleteJoe is not playing at all anymore. I myself am still playing very casually. Mostly signing in and doing a warfront, or two, or three every here and there to pass the time.
